My Story

Where it began...

My love of plants blossomed watching my father work when I was young, he was a keen gardener and later we shared an allotment together - it was from him that I learnt the basics and inherited my green fingers.

In 2013, I opened my first shop in Skipton, selling outdoor plants and garden gifts before adding house plants to the collection too. After 5 years of trading, the shop relocated to the stunning Ilkley, where the focus was mainly on house plants and gifts.

After just 18 months in Ilkley, we were plunged into lockdown and, due to necessity PlantsDOTcom was born. With the shop closed, I began trading online via social media, offering contact free deliveries to ensure my customers could still get their fix of greenery in these uncertain times. The popularity of house plants bloomed during the first lockdown and it hasn't slowed down since!

We now have a brand new shop in Otley, Boroughgate, opposite the market square. Here you can browse our ever changing selection of plants, pots and gifts. The best thing about PlantsDOTcom is that I'm now reaching a larger audience than ever, and nothing is better than being able to share my love and knowledge of plants with you all!
