Chinese Money Plant

One of my favourite house plant.

Chinese money plant, Pancake plant, Ufo plant, Missionary plant, Pass it on plant.

Botanical name … Pilea peperomioides.

A super popular houseplant that goes way back to the 1920s. They are really easy to look after & also to propagate, hence its name ‘pass it on plant’ as all the young babies were being shared out between friends.

Makes an excellent house gift especially for those that are not too green fingered. Place the plant in a warm bright room & water when the soil is dry to touch. Feed from spring & throughout summer.

I always do my best to keep the plant stocked up in the shop in Otley as its such a sought after house plant. Various sizes are usually available.
